Been working on an article about how to build super light weight superstructures.
Will be posting it along with photos just as soon as it is complete.

It killed my sister's, to a point. She finished her degree in 4-5 years or so but her husband is another story. They have been together for 22 years, since high school. He finally got a job that pays pretty good two years ago. He spent 18 or 19 years in university!! All in the same field, genetics of some sort. Sure, he can build a frog from scratch but it has taken a while for the money to start coming in. On the brighter side, if he ever opens a restaurant, frog legs will be cheap!! :)

Hahaha. Im doing pretty well though (Can you say 4.26 GPA?), and im not planning on building frog legs or w/e.
Anachronus, thank you for that wisdom, i know its not easy for someone who has to go to school every day, but thanks.

It might kill your life for a few years (if you do it right) but once its done it fuels your life. I really couldn't imagine starting off these days w/o a degree of some kind. A lot of my friends don't have degrees, and most of them are suffering in this economy. Skip the phone bill so they can eat, etc. I couldn't do it. When we go out I often pay, as I know they just don't have it right now.

Plumbers and electricians make out rather well in any economy.
And get to be able to be "self employed" and start their own company
with just a truck full of tools and a cell phone. OK not the cleanest of jobs
but one that won't be "off shored" to south Asia,

Haha, i thought someone would bring that up.
Due to the fact that i am enrolled in AP classes which are technically college classes, my adjusted GPA is higher then "possible".
Im actually enrolled in UCONN, US History, with a low A, high B score. Tomorrow is tapping for the National Honor Society too, so im doing well acedemically.

Yea, degrees are almost mandatory for a well paying job, besides those that were mentioned plus others (like HVAC).
Ive decided to go to college for aerospace engineering, of which there is alot of within the US. Snipehunter is an aerospace engineer, isnt he?

That sheep skin is very important. It opens a lot of doors. But does not ensure a good salary.

nothing ensures a good salary, nor does it ensure a job. It just means there are a few fewer doors closed.

Which explains why yoo spel sow gud, rite? :p
I'm always a little leery when I hear about AP classes. I took a bunch in high school, and worked my butt off to get B's. Then I got to college, and found out that even though I passed the AP tests, my AP classes didn't transfer, so I had to take a whole year of math all over again.

Right now I am working my way through finals week. One more essay, one last test, then a whole week of freedom. I'll finally be able to take pictures of the Doomsday Device and post them! I've made a lot of progress, but due to classes I haven't had time to do much since I got my camera back.

Oh guys, i know that a college degree isnt everything, believe me.
Yea, kotori, being so smart makes spelling such a hard task.
Hey, even if i dont get all of the credits, its good practice, and it looks good to challenge yourself.
Hey man, good luck with finals.

I took AP classes in HS because they were less boring and because less people would ask me for help with their homework than in the regular classes.

In my experience, like many things in HS, they're a bit of a pissing contest, though the tests can be useful depending on the college you go to.

I agree with Justin about college. Only thing I learned was how to drink mass amounts of beer and manage money. Currently unemployed and still was able to finish out my Wichita.
Will find out on Sunday how much is left when she gets the final look over at the Port Polar Build day.
