This forum will serve as a build for the Clash of the Titans event to be held mid 2013. The following ships are in various stages of construction/readiness for the event. The first four ships are 100percent committed to the event, The last two are commanded by two Captains which have expressed their desire to have their ships available at the event.
    USS Ohio 8 units
    USS Midway 7 Units
    DKM Hindenburg 7.5 Units
    Sovetsky soyuz 7.5 Units
    Alsace 7 Units ( FroggyFrenchmen)
Yamato 8 Units (Member of the BBS)
The slug fest if no dark horse ships come into play is an even three to three split with a decisive speed advantage held by the Allies. However their is a Vanguard floating around with a Skipper who regularly ventures into our stomping grounds which might further antagonize the Axis war machines...

The Alsace was displayed yesterday at the boat display. I have not actually looked inside the monster yet. But I don't see why I couldn't have her ready for the event next season. I don't have any thoughts of running her as one of our primary boats during the regular battling season. So I would anticipate that we could keep her looking nice as well.

The Hindenburg was on the water this morning, I have refrained from running her so far this year, but may break her out before the Ice settles in over the battle sites. The intent is to purchase a Midway hull and flight deck from our friends in Australia, and I have researched the Big Russian as much as possible over the Computer. With no plans readily available, I might have to use your Garzke book to get the ribs, and use a little poetic license as far as hull shape goes. I might have to email you the pictures in order to upload them on this site.

I had hoped to limit it to class 7-8 unit ships, all the really big heavy weight ships.

The event has been scheduled for the 4th of July weekend. We have not set the actual date(s).
We are hoping the British are coming! Haha.
    Let's battle!

We are still working on the date that the Titans battle will take place during the event.

The dates are July 5-7. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
We have decided to have the event at the Versailles, Ohio battle site.
The depth of the water at this battle site is less than 6 ft deep at the deepest point.
And we anticipate having some Battlestations boats battling this time around.
The Alsace is nearing completion. She has been on the water for sea trials, and they
    went rather well.
