Had good luck out here with both the 3d printed twins in the duca and this particular design. I am building a new printer primarily to ease testing so I can more readily make them. My Provence is going from one traditional, one hybrid twin, and one 3d printed side to all 3d printed this winter.

By the way, thanks for the work on the ballots - being club secretary is like work or something. Still beats being treasurer, though. :p

Clamp pic. General idea is to sandwich the deck from top and bottom with wood to set the correct height. Deck rim was warped so this method was key, and something that would not work without hull cut. Glad to get the most complex epoxy job done, all down hill from here

those are 1/4X1/16 neodymium mags, right? What diameter bit are you using that you need to pop them in like that? I'm drilling the holes with a 1/4 router bit and they drop in pretty floaty, which I don't like for what I am sure are the same reasons you go for a tight squeeze.

    They are 3mm x 8mm, I use a 5/16 Brad point bit

So far so good, no losses yet on any builds. They can’t be pressed in by hand, but the pliers do the trick

Cut barbs (bahhhhbs (Boston accent)) for 1 hull, finally picked up a piece of abs vice pvc. Seems more flexible, cuts fine. Dry fit here, need to cut the wings to fit over deck rim after I epoxy them in

Probably won’t get much done for next two weeks, coming along nicely though

Back to work today. Spent a while planning water channeling but no real progress. Cut the barbs for hull 9, then worked on making the aft deck piece reinforcing
    3E033C68-0744-4D72-AD2E-7B96A93EC471.jpeg
1/16 fiberglass is too flimsy on its own, so 1/8 ply and 1/4 square basswood, tracing circles here

Working on forward facing guns to see how trajectory would work. The ruler is to see where impact would be at water surface, wing turrets look do-able, checking inboard

Duals probably in one of them. B turret would be good for a single gun, duals probably would not be able to hit where desired

Poured the feather lite. Interesting stuff. Top layer looks dried up but dissolves when mixed.

Still could be cleaned up a bit, but overall was faster to the end product
