I bought the plans on line for the USS Kearsarge (BB-5) Plans on E-bay and currently building a 3-D in Delft Ship. After it is built I will make the correct changes for the Crane Ship 1 Hull. there are just enough pictures on the internet to make the proper changes. as you can tell I have just started.

That is looking great! I think you've captured the ram bow profile perfectly.

It is the latest update, I changed the background color, and it is really nice to be able to click and drag the drawings to scale them and placement. Only thing I can seem to figure out is how to move the light source or to get rid of it where there is no shadows.

That's a really pretty hull. Recommend you save a copy of the battleship hull before you add in the blisters for the crane-ship conversion.

The 10 foot side blisters will be a separate layer, when I add the ribs Thay will be on one inch spreads. When I am done, I will make a PDF and add it to the plans section here that will be copy paper print so no re-sizing for 1/144 scale that's what it will be on print out. I don't remember who it was but one or two others expressed Thay liked and wanted this ship as the crane ship version. And I like to share... Lol.

I think it will handle like a one legged duck on the water. "Half joking half serious."

how will the hit box windows or penetrable areas work with a craft such as this, top of the blisters, sides of the original hull above the blisters and such?

oh god.... the tops are solid, aren't they? it'd be like having a huge shield on both sides with penetrable windows above and below if it was......

I dont know that is why i was asking about it. For example a battle ship with casemates are solid with evreything below being penatratable, in this case the primary hull above the blisters seems to me it should be solid, but leves the queston are the tops of the blisters solid or penatratable, of course the sides of the blisters and near the ends of the ship are penatratable. What rules are odserved in the construction of this mutant? The rules say no unfair advantages, has to be pined, and able to sink.

Why would the top of the bulges be solid? They are sloped, not a deck.

He might going for a different ruleset. Not everything here is IRCWCC. There are big gunners that allow anything past 45deg from vertical to be solid.
