Hi when is the IRCWCC NATS ? bb26 and I are attending. I've contacted Chris Osborne about our road trip to Nats and he needs to know too. We could see a few Kanuckistan battlers heading your way to particpate. I'm getting my Bismarck ready and with Luck I can bring Yamato down too.
I understand Bismarck is 7 units. Is it allowed to mount a dual haymaker say stbd and a dual sidemount port with a single stern and single bow?:doze:

It is July 19th to 23rd. The 18th will be day of testing to make sure all boats are compliant. I am not sure about the configuration. I believe it would be compliant.

Perfect. So I should arrive in Halifax when the 16 or 17th? When did you plan to leave Halifax to arrive at Nats for the Testing?

Bis is allow two double sidemounts so the haymaker would have to be less than 15 degrees so it would not be in a sidemount quadrant.

Ok so if I use a single stern, Dual sidemount in C turret, dual sidemount in B turretn and a single bow cannon within the 15 degrees that should be ok. Or I could use dual D turret stern, 2 dual haymaker sidemount, B turret dual and leave A turret empy that should be ok too. Correct?
Or should I just use Yamato instead? lol

I think we would defiantly leave on the 17th but we could possibly get away on the 16th. It depends on work schedule.

Any ship over 40,000 tons standard displacement or 60" scale length (in 1/144 scale) may cover all four quadrants with firing cannons

    c. The following ships may have two side firing cannons in a single turret covering a side quadrant provided that they are the only side firing cannons covering that quadrant:

    1) HMS Nelson class

    2) Any ship on the Ship List with a LOA of more than 800 feet

    Above from the IRC rules.

Looks like either suggested layouts are legal

That's great Marty Thanks. Ok decision time...hmmm think I will play around with the /1200 bismarck minituare and set the turrets to those angles and see how I can best manuever the beast in firing postion with those options.

My GF is coming down to Nats with me. Do I register her as well? She's going to be taking pics of the event.

Sounds good Marty.I will let her know. She was wondering about the meals part of it. Let me know when possible so I can keep her concerns to a minimal. Got to keep the Photographer fed to get those great shots. lol

On that note I received my Passports for both me and the GF. We got a map to for NY State. So far so good in the preparations. Can't believe I'm actually going to be there finally.

It would be great to see Steve. We made a great team with his Nagato and my Yamato. Excellent player.

I believe they test the boats for communicable diseases (measles, chicken pox, HIV/AIDS, ebola, hanta virus), etc.

P.S. Is it really necessary to ask questions like this in several different places?

Of course, Canadian ships will have to have their shots records up to date.
