Phill, Matt, and I displayed the boats at an R/C show here in Dayton last weekend. Both Treaty, and Battlestations boats were displayed. I will post photos of the Dayton Ohio Giant Scale show shortly. Enjoy. Mikey
That would be Eric (NO-BULL) Noble. The battle in Hinckley is next weekend. Sept 24-25. Eric, Phill, and I were able to attend the fly-in at the WACO air museum today, and display the boats. I will load up some of the photos. Mikey
On the Sept 4th post what in particular is the while fiberglass hull sitting on the grass in the first two pictures? Its below the Scharnhorst class. Also what is that destroyer or cruiser in the first and third pictures sitting next to the Dunkerque class on the table? Mike Butts
The white fiberglass hull is the 96th scale British R-class battleship. Revenge, Royal Oak, that sort of thing. The wooden hull destroyer is the 96th scale Russian destroyer-leader Tashkent. The gentleman in the last photo was on the USS Forest Sherman. He stopped by and shared some tales of the sea with us. Very cool. Mikey
Yes it is. I have a rotating 75 round cannon forward, and a 75 round stern cannon aft. I ran her in one battle at the conference, and although I had some issues with the rotate in the first sortie, she ran great in the second. She is fast, but doesn't turn all that well. She looks great on the water too. I plan to run her at the fall battles, and hope to get some more photos of her in combat. Bob did a great job of building her. She is one of the best looking ships in the group. I take her to all of the displays as well. Mikey
A few photos from our June 10 R/C Dayton Days event display. Sorry for the single photo posts, but I am on our old P.C. and it would not let me post multiples. I will post more in a few days. Enjoy. Mikey
That is Bob Amend's old USS Alabama from the IRCWCC. He ran it for a year or so with Treaty, and did well with it. The South Dakota class battleships are great boats in pretty much all formats. Some of the Dayton folks have been discussing re-activating it for a club boat for quite a while. But we never seem to find the time to make it happen. Very well built. It would certainly be a nice addition to the U.S. fleet here. Mikey
