Those rules are in no reasonable way scale or semi-scale as they're not a derivative of the rudder that the prototype ship carried beyond being a rudder.

I've been repeatedly told that people won't vote for things with multiple different changes, so... have fun writing 300 individual proposals.
I guess you could propose simply to swap one rule set for another as a single change...

I don't know why a committee couldn't be formed to revise the rules and then have the club vote to accept it.

It is a hobby and about fun (if possible). To spell out everything is making another hobby in and of itself. Someone shows up with turning motors, going to be hard to get other captains to play with their ships...
if we need to spell out everything:

Not trying to sound like a d#ck, but for a hobby can't we just use some common sense. In the past (MWC) when things were very specific, other guys still found loopholes and sucked the fun out of battling on the pond...

Or you get to sit next to me at dinner. I have the unique ability to make you squirm and wish you were not there. Much more effective.

I was told that by a MWC member once, well he really said "I don't trust Italians from NY". Some people?

OK but, we do have to spell out the things that are in quotes because they are undocumented insider knowledge and I'd go further the the intent of the rule should a part of it. Ex: In order to keep things evenly balanced these things are not allowed.
