Okay, found a pump that will work. It is 3/32 although I would like a 1/8 pump better

The Duca is a 2.5 unit boat. Two units for the cannons and a half unit for the pump. 3/32 is what you want.

But am I building the Northampton or the Duca? The hulls look the same.

Can't I use the hull of the Duca for the Northampton?

Short answer is no. The long answer is, although similar in appearance, the Duca is .67" thinner and 1.05" longer. This exceeds the 1/8" scale allowance per IRC rules. If you do build it out as the Northampton, I'm sure people will battle with you in un-scored local events, but the boat would not be welcome at scored official battles.

FYI, that 1/32" on the pump will not be an issue and is the only difference in performance between the Duca and Northampton. If your dead set on a US boat, build the super to look like a Northampton but for official events, stick the half unit restrictor on the pump and call it a Duca. You could even build a Duca superstructure to swap out.

Okay, Duca it is. At least I have the choice of allies or axis, right? The pump is being printed right now.

Hmm, how long do you have access to a printer? I forgot that I never put a discharge hole out through the side. I would be able to modify it and get it posted up by tonight, if that works. Otherwise you'll need to drill a hole for the discharge which can be tricky without a drill press.

Aww, the plate and impeller just finished! The makerspace is open until tomorrow, if you can put it up by then. Haven't done the body yet if the problem is there.

The impeller and top plate are still good, and the base can be kept as a spare. Yes, I should have the updated part done by tonight.

Good. We should work on a entirely 3D-printed boat hull:)

I don't remember. It's been too long. I think it might have been mm. I believe Sketchup might have had an option for units.

Not sure. If I have anything, it's not complete. Could you post a photo of the printed pump?
