Finally done for the most part. I like to modify the rudder to help with the role later on. She weighs in at 9lb 3.14 oz. I removed one stern and one bow gun to save weight. I upgraded to 3s lipo she runs great really fast
Installed bilge keels today see how that goes just roll with it. I’m ready for the turkey shoot and some good food
Where did you get the universal joints for the prop shaft to motor connections? I have been looking for something like that.
Well after two battles under her belt she needs some adjustments. Rudder needs improvement her ability to turn is awful mostly weight related. 9.13 LB is her current weight I need to lighten her considerably. Shedding the metal for wood and swapping the battery to a 2200 mah. under 8lb Is the goal
Well after a full day of work I got her down to 8lb5oz woo. I would like to swap the copper mags to plastic that should get me some additional weight savings. I haven’t got the sliest clue on how to build plastic mags help lol.
Find the right size nylon tubing (I don't recall the right size nor fittings). Personally, 3d printing is easier, if you have it available.
I can post instructions for plastic mags next weekend. It’s pretty simple. On second thought I might have pictures in the Tromp thread https://rcwarshipcombat.com/attachments/b1056848-b0da-42f9-8261-70aa8c5b26ba-jpeg.14005/
Great picture. Looks nice as always part#s and suppliers would help guide me in the right direction. That fitting that’s on the T never seen one like that
It’s a hitec waterproof I forget the part number. It’s a little over kill. Really I could made due with one of hitec mini servos to save weight like I did on my daughters GLORIE. Light cruiser run better when there lighter
