    after 3 sorties. Nice.

I really dig the camera setup you have on the Derf. do you have a pic of the setup somewhere on the forum?

Lighting is terrible in my garage.

Two part pc-pbt print for adjustable height. Bolted to the deck - i have recovered the boat by the mount via grappling hook when it was about 8ft down.

Its a turnigy actioncam, gopro knockoff. Other than constantly losing the date when i change the batteries its been pretty good.

Awesome. I like the reduced profile mount, fewer things to get shot off.

Just turn the date stamping off. It always makes video look cheap and if the date is off what's the use?

Clapper boards were invented to solve this problem.

    thanks

camera also has 2k res and a 170deg lens, vs 1k res and 120deg lens

The little sq11s are great little cams, and very light, but on a ship that can easily support the larger camera with the wider FOV, I'll go that route every time. I'm actually hoping to find myself a decent not-terribly-expensive 360 cam to mount next.

IN my time in the hobby, my interest in ship type has been class 4 sluggers and finally graduating to a Class 5 ship. The smaller ships have been interesting but I have not successfully completed the Class 1's for battle and not looked at Class 2.
Things have changed and I am playing seriously with smaller ships and a long time dream is blossoming. I have been asked by our school district to work with them on a STEM program for high school - Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math - for those who have not seen the recent acronyms. It looks like I will be consulting on several classes and an afterschool program with some additional adult interest as well. we will be building and learning all that this hobby involves. While they eventually want to design parts, hulls, superstructure , etc and use CNC and 3D printing, we need to start with easy to build kits that can be done without my being there all the time since I still have my practice to take care of.
I am in the process of putting together the shopping list for the different classes. This would be a great ship to try if I can get a quantity of kits.

    What is available Stephen?
