We are again going to hit the high seas! Fall regional will be held at Greenbriar State Park on Sept. 19-21 (yes, that is Saturday, Sunday and Monday.) this is an IRC rules battle. Come one, come all. If treaty or Big guns want to bring some ships and put on a demo, that should be fine between our sorties. Marty
Since the battle isn't till October, there BETTER still be rooms left!!!! I'm coming to the regional, but since I'm planning on going to the July 10 battle, by October, I'll be in both IRCWCC and MWCI Now I must away to the IRCWCC site to review the rules and make sure that SMS Scharnhorst meets IRC specs.
Actually IRCWCC Fall Regionals this year (2010) are in Sept, Sept 10-12. http://www.ircwcc.com/Events/Events.htm This thread is over a year old..... But I do hope you can make it, haven't seen ya in ages.
I was referring to the Southeast Regionals that Bob S has posted (after years of calling him Rob S it feels wierd to call him Bob, but that's how he signs his mail now). Those will be in Oakboro, NC and a pretty good number of MWC guys will be coming north to battle Should be a good time. I will contemplate the Northeastern Fall Regional. It has been a while... I wonder if we would have time in 3 days to get mildly lubricated and build another convoy ship from cardboard and a zip-zap car? Maybe I can talk Mike Mangus into carpooling with me once I hit NC?
I would, but I have no idea where I will be at that time of year. My military retirement date is November 1st. I'll probably still be looking for a job in October unless I get lucky. Even if I find a job before then, I can't garauntee it will be in North Carolina. We can only hope.
Ahh, roger that. If I can get someone to drive down with me I wouldnt mind attending the one in NC, sounds like a good pond. Good luck getting up here for the MD battle, Im sure we could attempt another build but im not sure the greatness of that convoy ship could ever be duplicated.
I like that southeast regional idea. I already started warning them at work I was going.... I look forward to meeting some more of the southern battlers. Snipe, you are going to need a partner anyway...
The October battle should be great fun... I will be rocking my SMS Scharnhorst and might bring project stuff to play with in the evenings.
