Internal armor is in, I have used very thin lexan to help save weight. It will be held in place with top placed in the channel of the subdeck, and the bottom will have tabs in the hull.

Fletcher and Gearing test bed in the background. In the gearing you can see where it was cut between funnels to increase it the scale 14 feet (just like the real one)

ESC that is perfect for this size of boat.

The sub panels in place (blue film is yet to be removed). These panels will be taped to the subdeck to make a waterproof seal, with the top deck on the boat should have no leaks and a clean deck appearance.
The pump motor sits above the panel, so I need to heat it up and use the wood plug to make a dome. In the production version, this will be included.

    I tried this on.

It is light, but performed poorly compared to the BC micro pump.

Definatly looking forward to the Gearing SS being available. I have one of the fibreglass hulls that could use some lighter deck & SS in a winter refit.

There are not enough like buttons for this thread... This looks like a fun little build.

    Agreed!

Eagerly waiting to see if she makes the minimum 1/2" free board requirement.

Will do some trials to get a difference between the two. The cost of this pump is so little, and really this boat should not be taking a lot of damage. I see it more to get rid of some leaks and just a few holes.

Thanks! It is a team effort, constantly refining the build (there are a few other hulls being built as well.

Once the fletcher is done, we will stretch the plug and make a gearing with sub-deck

How do you you plan to make fletcher hulls once you stretch the plug? Just curious. :)

Maybe they'll cut the Gearing plug to make Fletcher's again, then rinse and repeat?
Actually, you make a plug to then make a mold off the plug. Once you have the Fletcher mold, you then stretch it to be able to make a Gearing mold, then carefully store the plug away & start making hulls (or parts, or whatever) off your molds.
