Got tools! Got a shopsmith, a Delta 12" planer, a Delta 10" radial arm saw, and a Makita plunge router. Spent $1000 even in a package deal. Now I still need a band saw, compressor, and need to get Memphis to p/u my Delta dust collectors. Getting a ceiling mounted one and a roll around one for the machines. The shop has changed directions. I will still be doing the boats but will now be doing custom guitars and basses for sale. Also my dad wants to do furniture so the build bench is still going to be small for a while lol. 0610181241.jpg

My wife would really frown on my using something like that in the dining room, next to the kitchen, you must have a really super nice wife to get away with it.

Not using it. Just assembling it in the a/c and no wife. I live with my disabled parents to help them and at the moment they are in California lol.

Has a commercially rebuilt head. Machine is from the early to mid 50's. In excellent condition. Has the aforementioned jointed, strip sander, disk sander, lathe tools, arbors, table saw, drill press chuck, and the original manual also. Paid $650 for the shopsmith.

Just made another deal on more tools. Getting a jet 18" throat band saw with a 12" resaw capacity. A delta dust collector that hoses to the machines and another that mounts on the ceiling to pull dust from the air. $1150 total and it comes with a free truckload of balsa blocks. 3"x36" in various thicknesses up to 3". So I will be offering balsa cut to order in sheets and sticks soon. Have to make some of this money back lol.

Got the siding and roof tin on order. Planning to stand the walls and side it\roof it Sunday. Have decided to build a paint booth out of one of those small greenhouses they sell. Will be needed for the wood finishing and fiberglass work that is in the near future. Also going to pole barn off two sides and make that my small engine\atv repair area. This will keep the money flowing and probably take up more of my time than I want it too lol.

The shed next to it just out of frame has been there since 91 and no issues. Its way lighter than this one.

Still a lot of work to do. But its now an indoor working environment for a lot of it. Still need to pole barn off in an L shape off the front and the end by the bus. That will be the small engine and a atv repair area.

More progress. Turns out it's less expensive to build a nice set of ship lap doors than it is to buy a single 32" exterior door. So this is what I did. The large door has spring loaded toe bolts top and bottom and the man door has a heavy duty gate latch and a hasp to lock it up.
    0709181902.jpg

Took way too long to build the doors due to my ham fisting of my wobble dado blade rendering it useless. Had to wait till the next day, go to town, find out nobody has a dado set OR a router bit. Ended up stacking 8 7 1\4" blades to make a half inch dado lol. Butch I know but its how we did it before dado sets. I know there are other ways however I need to build jigs, extension tables, etc for my saws before I can do too much fancy stuff. Point is the doors got built. Had to cut the lap joints in two passes on my cousins little bench top table saw as my shopsmith arbor was not gonna work and I didn't want to do it on the radial arm saw.
