I am getting ready to fiberglass my ship, and I am a little bit confused about how much resin I need to buy. From advice I got previously on here, I am going to use this fiberglass:

And I am planning on using this resin:

If you have 6 oz of resin and 6 oz. of hardener in each set, how many sets do I need to buy to cover 1 sq. yard of the 2 oz fabric above? Should one layer of glass be enough?

How big a ship are you building? I forget which one it is :) Haven't had my coffee and just woke up.

My ship is just a simples design I made myself, just to get use to the basic idea. It is 33 inches long and 8 inches wide, the hull is 5 inches tall.

I would just go to Home depot and buy the BONDO Home Solutions all-purpose Fiberglass Resin comes in 32floz and has a toothpaste size hardener with it and you use 14 drops of it per oz and has a working time of 10-15 min I’m on my second ship with it with no problems [^]

How much does that BONDO cost? I don't want to spend more than ~$30 on epoxy.
