Glad i got something that will work, the construction is one thing but im new to the rc world, but i think i have a good rough idea. Got the stern to shape mostly just have alot of sanding to get rid of some waves and finish up the outside of the hull. IMG_20200705_105146.jpg

Hey speaking of which, have you gotten in contact with the guys out in WA? They'll be able to help you with filling the RC knowledge gap
    I think that'd be @NickMyers

No i have not contacted anyone yet. I've looked at a few WA club forums and things looked pretty slow. But if i hit a road block everyone on here seems very helpful so i wont be afraid to ask. Im also a fan of "Controlled Chaos" so I will just struggle bus my way through and figure it out eventually haha

That's a great mentality, and I rocked it as well. But it was out of necessity because I was in Alaska and the nearest guy was over 3,000 miles away. If I had @Bob on speed dial from the beginning, I would have been able to avoid over a year of *heavy* rebuilds

But yeah dude, whatever distance advice you need, I'm sure it can be rustled up here.

Made a small amount of progress after a busy week. Stuffing tubes mounted, waiting on my 2x1 gear box for the main propulsion. The starboard side Armor belt stringer has been fitted, tomorrow i will finish up the port side and after alittle fine tuning and much more sanding we are almost to the fun part epoxy. New project being drawn up on the table that will begin construction soon.

Not much progress lately, just sanding and fine tuning. But the Tirpitz big sister in law has arrived at the shipyard. The iowa hull is a project for my buddy and unfortunately will be a pond princess (noncombat) unless i can persuade him other wise :)

Wow holy cow I took a closer look at your New Meowxico plans and those are *HORRIBLE*.
Plus that's not the New Meowxico.
the single 5"/38 DPs were only equipped on Idaho in 1945
Meowssissippi and New Meowxico never received the DP mounts, and with Idaho, the mounts were a half measure because the dual 5"/38 mounts would have made her too top heavy.

Progress has been slow the last few weeks, hand sanding Tirpitz and waiting for parts to arrive. Missouri is waiting on me to pickup some epoxy and twin New Mexico's have been laid down. Also waiting the arrival of a 5th ship to show up in the next few days :)

Exceptional craftsmanship. I don't have the space or time to do woodworking . Very sensitive allergy wise to wood dust .
Looking forward to seeing their completion .

Slow and steady progress being made, got the rudder posts in place and steering servo in its home. I also made up a "Citadel" armored box for the fragile components (idea thanks to Anvil_x). The first of the NM's has been framed and had the water channeling installed. Waiting on parts that should arrive shortly now.

full length keel board. nice. looking forward to watching that progress. gonna notch the keel and put holes in the board, or just shave down the keel?

Don't have to answer now. but I will look forward to the pics of how you do it.

Working on it right now actually, i was gona do some notches for the keel but decided to cut it out and just lay the board in. Got side tracked yesterday and decided to build a decent shipyard out of a spare room in the garage.

Keel board is installed on the NM. I got a few things from BC so i made up a cradle for the 02 tank, now i need to make a few mounts to strap it down. Got my shaft struts in place ready to be epoxied.
