Yaayyy!! USS Midway. I been itching to build one of these for a loong time. That one I can manage to carry around and build. I have a couple of small revell models of it.
Looking forward to this build for sure. I just have to convince the wife that I don't have a carrier in my fleet.

Thanks stokomoto shouldnt be too bad with what he is doing. Really need too know sizes of props and rudder so i can start when it arrives. Big fan of all your work have read about all yourbuilds all i can say is wow. This is my pre curser too the iowa so with 5 months off work hope i can get them out. Will post photos when it arrives. Information is killing me atm read every build all 15 pages no one has done this from what i have seen. I know they have been built but yeah need sizes so i can work through it unsure how long my parts will take too get too aust from the states. Ordered the duel 3inch pate rudder and rudder post from bc as a guess with 1.5 inch 25degree 4 blades as well as a guess. But yeah only guessingphone is finialy working here is a link of the beast.

I have a fan? Wow thanks for the nice compliment. I have everybody here on the forum to thank for show casing their builds and providing tips and know how which have inspired me to build my ships better and more reliably. I saw the site for the Midway hull and I remember seeing that now . I had forgotten about it but now I have it bookmarked for reference for that big day when I can finally build a carrier. The only carrier plans I have now are for USS NIMITZ in 1/144 scale. It's massive.

I've seen the Midway hull, one of the locals has it, it is HUUUUGE. Hopefully you have a truck or van or roof racks to take it too the pond :)

Ok so been doing a little reasearch on build regs and found out some interesting information.
She is a class 7 build with 60000 tone displacement allowing me too pump 313.04 litres an hour and on a smaller scale 2 litres in 23 seconds being metric any one know how too convert too gallons. Testing the large stinger pumps from strike and if i pump too much or less.
Second fact of aus big gun all convoy muat run 22 knots only exception if the ship had a stanard defined speed. As in sec 1.2 now as a new comer does that mean i have toorun 22knots or my ships maxium speed of 33 knots which was not set in speed trials.
Rule 2.20.3 all other ships have a maximum speed of 24 knots or atleast tested by section 1
    2
Now if iam not mistaken doesnt that mean under section 1.2 i can legal run my ship at 33 knots
Here is a link if guys can help me interupt these rules
    http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q&esrc=s&frm=1&source=web&cd=2&cad=rja&ved=0CC4QFjAB&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ausbg.org%2FAusBG_Build_Regs_Jan_2013.pdf&ei=YZjHUoDbF4OKlAXrhID4Dg&usg=AFQjCNE83dV61Ewr95A8e1AamvNSYt2igA&bvm=bv.58187178%2Cd.dGI

AND FOR THE JUICEY PART IAM ALLOWD TOO MOUNT 7 GUNS AS PER THE RULE 10 PLANES PER GUN. This rule doesnt interest me as it is a 6 year olds boat iam building for my son and i dont want co2 guns too hurt himself so i was only going too run convoy. Until i read this

AIRCRAFT 5.8 Now what iam about too offer in relation too this rule. Iam unsure if it will go against forum rules so iam going too try anyway.
IAM OFFERING A $300 PRIZE CREDIT TOWARDS STRIKE OR BATTLERS CONECTION or any hull recognized hull producer too spend how you see fit.
In return and response too the rule in question i want too develope a C02 powered capuilt too launch scall 1-1144 planes with some sort of reload system as i can launxh every 8 seconds.
Thought for planes and retrieval as in the rule set iam responseiable for retrival i was thinking a large magent at the front of the ship for 2 such reasons ballast as a non combat vessel i expect her too be light and too compete she has too be at water line.
No2 planes have too be retrieved so i was thinking u guys with a cnc machine or plastic printer u could design a boyant plane that floats and has a magnet attached too it so at the end of a battle all u have too do is drive and pick them up with your ship.

I think if my memory serves me correctily planes have too weigh 14 grams. So happy build weapon has too be safe and user friendily a you tube video has too be posted withsysrem fully functioning. Link can be sent too my email address jb46@hotmail.com with midway in the subject lline. Too claim your prize.
You may ask why am i doing this and the answer is simple hundreds of builds i have seen nothing ever like it including you tube what a awesone way too include another foarm of play that is set well and truily with in a rule set. And who knows it could make u some serious cash down the track.
Here is the ausbg rule set if you wish too check anything in this post. In advance
    Cheers besty

And on this note restore the cv to it true value different planes different damage usen the same launcher. Not like ply which would loft around with wind sheer. A true projectile possiably at the end of the deck sloop it down given it a kamakazzi effect off damage. And range advantage over a battleship just as a attack squadron would. It take a smarter man with 3 d modelling too work all this out thus the challenge.

    Whereabouts are you located, besty?

I'm with the Sydney Battle Squadron.

To answer a few of your questions:
    - You can have more than one pump.
    - You can run at 33 knots.
    - Your rudders need to match the original in number and position, but can be 125% of the *area* of the original rudder -- that is scaled up by a factor of 1.12 in width and height.

I'll fix these so that they're in the post when I get home. Army firewall stops me from doing certain things in the interface.
