I have for sale the French Liner Normandie, which was used as a 1/144 Big Gun convoy ship many years ago. It was originally a fairly nice build, but storage for several years has taken it's toll on it. It has some damage, but not much, just really dusty and dirty and several life boats either broken or missing. No internal components remain. Pictures show the props still on the ship, but this are now on another ship and not included in this sale. No plans either.

Asking $250 plus shipping (this is much larger then a RM Littorio I just shipped from California to Virginia for $60, so this could be much more).

Ahh the Normandie, one of the very FEW ships from the WWCC that resisted my best efforts to sink her, multiple times. Torpedoes, guns, even shooting her power switch off failed to put her down. I don't think she's ever been sunk. To all potential buyers, she may not look like much, but she's got it where it counts.

Are you selling the ship...or the province? 'cause size-wise, I think the province (of France) is smaller

On a scale of 1-10 how difficult do you think it would be to refit all of her internal mechanisms so she brought back to her former glory and made to run?

Indeed, I probably would've had to rent out space in some Georgia fellow's shed until I could come collect it this summer as well...

OK all you experts; How much do you think it will cost to ship? Ship is out of storage and now looking for dry cardboard. As soon as I get it wrapped, I will get an estimate and let everyone know just bow bad it will be. Gp

Can you get the SS into the hull? Everyone is pricing volumetric these days and you'll want your packaging as tight as possible. Problem is I'm pretty sure that hull is so damn big you'll be in the large package surcharge territory, so... Without knowing WHERE you're shipping to, I'd eyeball at 150-200$ retail shipping cost w\ FedEx or UPS. 70-100$ if you can get it out of surcharge territory.

Don't be afraid to cut up the hull, I think the builder will be able to fix it. ;)

There will be an MV Britannic there if anyone else brings an Allied boat to escort it. Don't count on the Normandie to make it, but you never know...
