    I dunno, if Bob Pottle say's it's going to be really hard to do without the inch I'm inclined to believe him :)

    Here's the real deal though for big guns in my opinion... WWCC allows one inch, and the nats allow ships built to an existing clubs rules in to play. My bet is any functioning sub at an inch over, is going to be waived in to play at whichever club it ends up.

    SO, for subs and boats under 5k tons... I don't see an inch as unreasonable. The 3/8 added varies due to tonnage across clubs too... so it really isn't as hard and fast as you might think.
