Here is the first pick of the Show for our display. Table One: Uncut Hull, turrets for gun placements on plans, some club info and armor to pick up and look at.
Stage two, research book, tim horton's, caffeine, research books, flags and a cut out ship.... looks like Malaya...
Firing box, CO2 bottles, handouts, information, research books, flag, radio.... good progression so far.... let's get to the good stuff.
Now the meat and potatoes. Tirpitz with his internals showing... tilted for ease of viewing. Bismarck showing his battle scars from CANNATS 10. Patched and ready to go! More Research Books. Bilge pumps, cannons....
Very poor. Although we had very excited people. A few of the venders were intrigued and one person listened to all the things said to him, like a sponge he retained everything and had excellent questions... he than retold everything to his wife and daughter as they came in... he was picking up ships pointing and I heard him say 85% penentrable area... things like this. He had really been paying attention! We were paid our gas and more and given a 50.00 GC to MHC. So it was worth it in the end.
Above is the last pick in the series... there is also going to be a youtube video of the display... we did a great job and were right off the door as promised.... we also had a 32" plasma playing our dvd from the CANNATS 10. It was great!
My thanks to Blake and the Train show people, Crimestoppers, Chris O, Chris E, Phil and Will. It was an excellent show besides the turnout. To Curt: We have converted Osborne to the way of Axis and Allies Minis... He recieved what ones I could spare for some boat parts... William kicked his butt with a fleet of mine, but, wishes he could have his own pieces, his birthday is on October 24th.... you never know. Also, War at Sea will be played at Gamezilla every Thursday(that we can make it) Exciting news eh?!?
ould have Paul... the 165 km trip back, I nearly drove off the road five times due to being exhausted and rain. Hydroplaning was bad. Chris watched from his car behind us and actually counted 3 times he saw the front end of the Golf lift, and careen into the other lane... it was dangerous, but, we made it home despite the weather.
Great job to everyone that attended. 1 or 1000 people, if we can attract one more person to this crazy world of battleship for big kids then great. Glad that everyone got home save and sound. Could you send me a copy of that cannat X CD for the show down here.
