    They do.

I'll aim for 09 May. Then NATS in PA if I can get my buddy to dogsit for me.

then two of the dates in the post-NATS. probably Dogger and Trafalgar

All dependent upon how things go at work, but that is my goal.

Port Polar Bear is battling Monday. Just keeping it at 10 or less so the state doesn’t get mad.

Still trying to work making it to Michigan, Kas. Hopefully the new gal at work who is gonna dogsit for me on monday will be cool with watching for a weekend or two.

I took a gutshot from work. District Ranger said that I was free to go to NATS, but that I would have a mandatory 14 day quarantine when I came back. on my own time.

well, what can I say. I'm responsible for like 2% of America's toilet paper production, and I get to bring my dog to work every day.

There's pluses and minuses to being a mission-critical employee upon whom the entire local economy depends. If I got sick or died, they could scramble and replace me, but if I infected the whole district office, then the three sawmills and two paper pulp mills that are the backbone for our local economy lose access to their raw material for who knows how long. Plus I work in close proximity with every logger in the area.
Talking sixty million board feet equivalent of production taken out of action.

I'm the guy you don't want to get sick.

While I can understand the worst case scenario you outline above. I still have to shake my head at the entire situation.

It sucks, but that's how she goes. gotta keep America stocked up in tickets to the turd show, flooring, and furniture.

I was talking with some dude on another forest out west, I asked him what his forest's annual volume target was, and he said something like 46 million board feet.

I laughed and says to him "I put out that much volume in my post-breakfast dump there, Lad. Those are rookie numbers!"

Last I looked, I'm railing out more than twice the next competitor in the region, and more than any other forest in the country. Everything from chewing gum sweetner to export veneer.

vitamin C is actually bad when you're dealing with a disease that can trigger a cytokine storm.
