***UPDATE***ok guys, today was my first ever build day and it will continue into tomorrow. I bought 1/4" birch plywood to use for the subdeck, superstructure and waterchannel(sides). I bought PVC piping and elbows to make a travel box, then proceeded to make it in 10 minutes. Fits perfectly. Next i got DAP self-leveling concrete crack sealer for the waterchanneling. Lastly, i got Dremel cutoff wheels, bits, 1/4" tape and googles and surgical masks. Today i made the travel box, where my beautiful Admiral Sheer currently sits, and then my father and i taped out one side, and i did the other. Tomorrow, after church, i will be cutting it out. Next week, i am looking to make the subdeck, and hopefully, i can put it in, if i can find some epoxy. Today was a great day and the first ever for building. I cant wait for tomorrow, but sorry guys, no pictures. After im done posting here, i will be double and triple checking the tape. Until later, Will***

Ok, everything was cut out, and it only took 2 hours. It went well, and there was only a few minor mistakes. But, to patch these, can i use epoxy? Also, should i use wood to support the stringer? in 2 weeks, i will be sanding the ribs down to proper size, and i may be cutting out the subdeck and superstructure pieces that ive made. Thanks

Yes epoxy will be fine, If you needed more strength, you can ca wire into it. You also can use wire for your stringer, epoxy covered

thanks Rob, i choose to just use a a 1/8" piece of the fiberglass that was already there. Ill reinforce it with epoxy then.

Boomer, I have dealt with a few people in the last couple of years and you are making them look like children with this build. I even sold a guy two boats and I bet yours will hit the water first. NICE!

Alot will be bought or given as gifts this coming Xmas to add on to my ship. Lets see, a hardware kit (BC), a pump(BC), a Spektrum 6 channel radio, a waterproof servo for my rudder, 2 Nihm battery packs with a charger, the BC gun kit, and the secondary and AA guns too. All in all, about $625, so i hope this goes far on my boat. Too bad i can only work on it every other weekend, otherwise, i would be done by the end of February. I hope to make NATS with it next year for 2 or 3 days.

Subdeck cut out and sanded. next, it need to be sanded on the side so it fits in and sealed, which is next. also, some superstructure pieces(mostly decks) cut out. Looking to get epoxy and sand the ribs next time im at my father's house.
