All done on the second SS. Looks good, it has radar(aka straws), the airplane launcher, and even two cranes.
It will be complimented by a set of AA guns from BC, along with the secondary guns, torps and yes, even a deck.
I also need to figure out how i want to do the balsa siding on the boat, but that will come up after the subdeck and deck are in.

    Update!!!!!
Ok, i bought the 5 channel radio, some details (secondary and AA guns and quad torps), balsa, dope, silkspan, and 1/8" decking.
Also, the motor mount is curing now, along with the rudder assembly. Not easy stuff for sure especially for a rookie. Also, the main subdeck will be installed today. Rob, whats next? Thanks

Update: Deck is cut out and painted. Currently drying after a coat of polyeurthane. Also, 2 inlay pieces are not painted (the forward and stern pieces) as the Barbettes are not installed yet. All 2ndary, and AA guns have barrels installed and are painted, while the main turrets are all painted, but no guns or barrels are installed.

    Guys,

I was looking at the boat yesterday and realized that it didnt quite match the plans, something looked off. I took some measurements and found that the beam is 3/4" too wide, even with the extra 1/8" granted in the rules. So, there are two options as i see it. 1) I completely rip out the old sud deck, and deck and redo all of that old work, or,2) i just the the crossbeams in hte middle, to shorten it, then redo only the inlays. I guess making the subdeck by the plans and not the hull is a good idea. Thanks, Will.

I'd try to cut the 3/4" out of the middle of the cross members first, and try pulling the sides in that way. You'd have to probably take some material out along the hull curves fore and aft as well to allow it to reshape, but its arguably less work and less wasteful than tearing it all out. Plus, if it doesn't work, you haven't lost much of anything other than some time.

Just go to this section.. you really don't need to read Russian

Just some creative thinking and I figured out that the Lutzow is ???????? the Admiral Scheer is ??????? ???? and Admiral Graf Spee is ??????? ???? ????. Only two were named after admirals so ??????? has to be Admiral.
There are some nice superstructure photos here.. with the Spee's disctinct bridge.
