In the Irc, We have awards every year at Nats (see our rules section for details www.ircwcc.org). If you keep score at your events the same could work for you on a Annual basis. Also I have been to some regionals which gave small awards (most feared, best of scale, etc.)

    Lend/Lease program:
Richelieu - 6 unit battleship - good shape, needs a new radio box and batteries - possibly a pump...
Montcalm - 2.5 unit cruiser - needs new batteries, new skin
Westfalen - 4 unit bc - needs new skin, tlc and patience

All of these ships need someone willing to put in some time. With some patience and training, each can be an interesting ship to battle. They each have a style of battle where they can be effective and they all have downsides - like any ship.

If you want Phill I can take and maintain one of the ships. If I get anybody interested I can lend them the ship for a battle. If thats ok with you. I would probably take the Richelieu

Not sure if this will count for much but I just joined this website and would like to see a battle first hand and would love to get into the hobby. I just found out there actually was a group in Washington! I figured if I built a ship I would be doing solo patrols defending the ducks

Alex, I have no problem with the drive and I'm sure it would be worth my while, but I think for starters I would love to go see your next battle! Just let me know when and where! I even have a coworker who caught me looking at youtube videos who's interested in going too

Sounds like a good plan. I have a couple friends who want to do it too. Our next battle is May 16 at Coal Creek. I am not sure what time yet. Probably anywhere from 10:00 or 11:00am.

    Phill,

I have two friends who want ships. Do you have any ships left for lend/lease?

Maybe, we need to look at building a few merchantmen to loan out?

yeah that would be good. I have two friends who are in the process of buying new boats. if they have everything in order quickly I should be able to help both of them be on the water by July.

    What ships are they building?

I think we're going to need to find a place with a bigger parking lot..

One of them wants a Lutzow. I am talking with Phill about getting the other guy on of his ships. I found a private pond in Redmond the deepest part is 6' deep. It is man made and built for water skying. I am going to look into it more.

Which Lutzow? The renamed Deutschland or the Derfflinger class Lutzow?

I think he was saying the Derfflinger. I am going to try to get the Montcalm for him though to try first. If its ok with Phill.

Deutschland is an easier first build but they both are good first ships.
