The reciever should be ok. If you have problems, you can raise it in the ship for better reception. The motors may quiet down as you run them. You also can twist the motors a bit until they quiet down. Sometimes the alignment is a tiny bit out. Move them until you find the sweet spot.

There are long 2.4 ghz antennas available, I fitted them to my HMS Rodney, the tips of them clear the superstructure with the receiver just below deck level.

On my Derf I obtained a bunch of PVC knockout caps (sometimes called test caps). I attached them to the bottom of the turret cover. They do an adequate job of holding the turret cover in place while being removable and repositionable.

If you're in IE, try turning on Compatibility mode for the site or try using Firefox. If you're using firefox, check that you're up to date or try IE.

haha the funnel cap was probably the 3rd hardest. the first was the cranes, second was the main mass kuz everytime i had to heat up an end the oposite end just got a little too hot and fell off so i was getting a little frustrated as for the bending it was alot easier than i thought for the super structure i thought it was going to be a pain but it went smooth and it was cheap the brass i used was if i am correct .032 x 1/4 and i used about 6-7 strips and they were a $1.09 each so it wasnt expencive. any questions ill be glad to answer if u wana see the tools i used ill take a picture and post it. as for the ship i gota drill holes for the small cannons and the crane, then i need to etch on the swasticas on the deck so i can paint them and put a clear coat on the deck, and do much more please keep tunned for more to come
ps. i made an opening in the funnel so i can put a smoke machine in it (later on down the road)

Looks great. I see you are using the new foam rubber superstructure . I have mine currently on order with Strike. The Funnel cap looks great. Good work on teh cranes.
YOu can get Arado floatplanes from Peter's Planes online but the Jap coversion works good too . I did the same with mine.
    Good work so far.

What are the rails made out of? The Funnel is that with the kit or your own creation? I spoke to Stephen of Stirke to inquire if there were any plans to make the radar suite for Bismarck and Tirpitz . He said that George may be making those for the class. I sure hope so and soon. There are many Bismarck's in the hobby. A nice BB proof Radar suite would go great .
Can you get another pic of the platform supporting the crane? I NEED a good visual reference so that I can see how to make mine.

    Thanks

To Nikki: she will be armed in the summer as a show ship not for combat and in the summer im also considering buying the prinzEugen that seems like a perfect batteler for me fast not to big or small and seems like it can have a few cannons. and i cant wait to attend my first battle and that will be hopfully this spring/summer (i will not be batteling but i will be showing off my bismarck and also coming to take videos and pictures, i love editing videos so ill try to make some kewl vids)
To Curt and everyone else here are some close up shots of my brass work: And Curt can you keep me updated with the bismarck stuff you were mentioning earlier in this thread that would be greatly appretiated

Now that is exceptional work. Nicely done! I'm envious cause when it comes to metal, I suck. Heh.
