Welcome, you're in a pretty good geographic location for this hobby. Numerous battles take place in Oakboro, NC. I'll defer to people more local to you, but you are surrounded by battling groups. Meet up with a veteran captain and check it out, we'd love to see ya on the water some day.

Welcome, Joe. This is build season for us though those in the South are already battling. Have you made any decisions on first ship yet? There is a lot of good info on this forum. Peruse the rules on IR/CWCC.org and feel free to ask questions. Also, check out the IRCWCC group on Yahoo.

Welcome! Nats (weeklong battle) is in Oakboro in July and lots of local battles in the area too. I'm really impressed with the team this year, Grosjean and Magnussen look really consistent and the car is QUICK!
