Hello! I've been weighing the placement for cannons in my Kongo-class Battlecruiser (Hiei) and I've generally come down to two setups I like. However, I don't have much experience with 24sec ships so I decided to get some other ideas/opinions. (Building for MWC fast-gun of course)

Idea 1) 75rnd pointed directly aft out of 'Y'
    50rnd haymaker in 'X'
    50rnd chase/sidemount in 'B'

    Idea 2) 50rnd haymaker in 'Y'
    50rnd haymaker in 'X'
75rnd bow gun, angle 10-12 degs off center in 'B'

    Thoughts? Opinions?

I would go with Two 50 round stern guns.
    One 75 round haymaker X
    and a pump.

I'm with Bob on that one. Sidemount to the Y, dual sterns in X. Use that speed to stay ahead and don't expose your flank while you sidemount them! :) :)

Isn't Kongo long enought to get 3 sidemounts?
If you are a sidemount expert, like someone we all know that has a 3 sidemounted Hurana, put the 75 in Y 50 in X and 50 in A all sidemounted. If you are really crazy make the A rotate.
If you're not a sidemount expert go twin 50s (Straight or 15deg of center) in Y and 75 in X. A Kirisima we all know has done a lot of samage with this set up.

The KEY here is to pick one, get lots of stick time and learn your guns.

3 Sidemounts are allowed, oh snap! I wouldn't call myself a sidemount expert but I do seem to be more effective with them than my stern guns on Fuso. Dang, now I have more options. Wait, that's a good thing! BANZAI!

Well I think I'm going to stick with a 50 stern gun, 75 haymaker, 50 bow sidemount. It's how Hindenburg was set up and how Fuso was until after nats2007 so I think I'll stay with what works.

Smart move, I try to keep all my boats set up the same so I don't have to do "re-training"
