Frank F just got his about a month ago. We dry tested it on the bench after we waterproofed the receiver, everything was working good. Only issue with it is that it is a helo radio, with a Aero option. When using it in Aero mode it only has 6 channels available, not 7. And when you first turn the transmitter on, you must pull the throttle to max down to clear the alarm, then recenter the stick, before you turn on the receiver. Also the right toggle switch is the throttle cut off, if you have it turned on, the throttle gimble will not function, another safety feature for Helo's, I would just disconnect it inside to prevent hitting it by accident, and then wondering why my boat was not working.

Also mode 1 is European standard, or for lefties, throttle is on the right gimble, instead of the American standard, left gimble.

I ordered one of the 9 channel Turnigy's, for the same price, plus the spare receivers are only $8.99. Will not get it for about 2 to 3 weeks. But I see they are out of stock again. I waited 5 days, and then they came in again, but are sold out again within minutes.

Spektrum makes a very nice 5 channel radio, available right here in the states pretty cheap.

As usual though Nikki, the radio should be your last purchase, after the rest of your boat is complete.

Its fun, but I'm looking forward to having sidemounts this year. Upgrading to a battlecruiser.
