Lol. Well, I'm looking at options. Tugboats 40 dolla method is for cruisers, plus I can't find plans for the Alabama that don't cost 32 dollars.

40 dollars? Where's that one at? I did a $60 toolbox but that doesn't count any materials, it's just the tools. I'll tell you what. Assemble your toolbox (i.e. buy the tools), and then I have plans for HMS Kent. Toolbox first, though, with pics posted. :)

Lol how's about a power saw table, a million screw drivers. What else. (Here's a pic of the saw). What specifically is required?

Thanks, WillCo :) Some weirdness on the internet on this end... very slow, so it seems like it's not moving sometimes.

I dont think anything specific is required as you can bodge together a lot.. but you might read chunks of this thread: Tools n stuff | R/C Warship Combat

If you really want to make a wood hull cruiser, get a laser cut kit. It is so easy to think you are saving money by building one, but at the end of the build you have invested a lot of money in proper tools to make a proper hull. At your first boat battle you will find all your "short-cuts" in the build have come back to bite you in the ass. Ask me how I know...
Cheap 3 ply plywood from a big box store will not last a season without developing issues. It would be "fine" for a convoy ship that only sees the water a few times a year (unless sunk at nats and spends any time on the bottom before retrieval).
Get the kit, make all the internals transportable so once you get experience you can custom build a hull, but at least in the meantime you are battling.

    From the floating drydock:
    TFW-BB59/8 USS MASSACHUSETTS BB59 , 1945
    1/96
    $43.00
    TFW-BB59/16

    Same as above in 1/192
    $22.00

    TFW-BB57/8 USS SOUTH DAKOTA BB57 8/45 1/96 $43.00
    TFW-BB57/16 USS SOUTH DAKOTA BB57 8/45 1/192 $ 22.00

Find a local photo copier and upscale the plans to 1/144

    @Tugboat

Within my arsenal of tools, the only missing pieces from your 60 dollar tool box that I couldn't muster up from the depths of the clutter (hopefully that will change with my move) are the needle file kit and the file and rasp kit. I'll be sure to include that in my list when I go shopping for other ship supplies. Anything not mentioned in that tool box that would be important?

Additionally, let me know if I should keep any of this wood.
