The long exposed shafts give me the heebie-jeebies. Not sure that it's a good idea without some protection. I'm imagining a few BBs trying to slip through that water channel under the port shaft, and jamming there just long enough to bend the shaft, or get kicked out by the shaft at high speed inside the ship, inside the armor.
Those couplings can be wrenched pretty tight. I'll keep an eye on them and have a tube of Loctite on the ready.
Even more fun can be had when a rusty BB gets sucked through the vents on the front of the motor, jams the armature and shorts the winding. You can see if you need heavier wiring. I know that is how the Allies like to roll though.
Ronny you are spoiling all the fun, the smoke the flames and the slow and painful crawl through the Axis slow fleet.
Yes, If by off chance the Tyng Barham had to make a slow transit through the Axis slow-boat gaggle, I could see it being a painful event...... for the Axis!
And in the next battle it will be all gray because although camo looks cool it is a pain to patch and paint twice a day.
I have found no 1/144 scale walrus airplanes. Even looked on the 1/144th blog page... Kampfgruppe 1/144
Sorry to say but my Barham project has to go on the shelf for a bit. I've got a design commission for an R/C combat tank. Will try to get some boat work done as time allows.
