Hopefully we'll see it out at an R3 battle next year (I think we all know region 3 is where all the cool people are).
Unwritten rule or not, the stringers and casement decks on my Barham are placed exactly as the written rules allow. Direct the whiners my way, Clark. I will happily point out the applicable rules to them.
Have to add a caveat to my previous post re showing up to battle without windows cut.... Clark would get a pass (once!) at any event I hosted only because A) He's a former Nuke Submariner and as such is kool. B) He's also closely related to Othar T, Gentleman Adventurer! and thus doubly awesome. Sorry everyone else.... there's only one Tuggy.
I appreciate the support guys Lest anyone think that drama was keeping me away from Oakboro in October, the reality is that my niece is getting Christened on that Sunday and thus I must be in Augusta, GA that weekend.
The amount of work my battleship gets is inversely proportional to how I feel about my health. So right now, I'm focusing on the I-boat. On the plus side for Hangar-seekers, Brian Koehler is playing with the hangar files right now... We were actually discussing it at the build session today.
Sending new hulls to Tuggy is flat out evil...it's like sending crack rocks to a drug addict. Or "free lunch buffet" tickets to Michael Moore
Okay! The recent discussion in another thread got me interested enough to pull Malaya down from her shelf. The gearboxes will be tossed and she will get a direct drive system similar to Invincible's, which I am well happy with. She will still be getting the Clippard solenoids that I was going to use, because, well, I have them and don't have to pay anything for them. 3 of the four cannons were cannibalized for Evstafi's rebuild, so I will pester Brian to make me some more.
rad. now it's 1800 miles away from me instead of 5900. Luckily flights to Canada's Mexico are pretty cheap through AK Air, and free bags!
