Sometimes I need to remember where I started when I feel like it’s going too slow, there’s the wood superstructure lying on the mantle

The light grey was chunky so sanded and redid. Looks better.

Paravanes and heavy gun tub supports - notice the I beams- those took a fair bit of jockeying with angles but they look awesome. A couple of noticed things was there was no access forwards/aft so those “cards” of two hatches and a sliding garage was a nice touch. Very very few photos exist of that area so I got creative. I also redid the bridge aloft for a wind gauge and loudspeaker I noticed on the blueprints. Also redid the pulleys because they were out of scale/comical looking imho and also on the ladders and added supports. Photos to follow!

Right so. First, I noticed the dual gas powered mounts I have are ugly af. No detail, and I was short a few because of moving and losing parts. Second, my first go around put the base under the operator not the gun (doh!) third, I noticed from photos there’s a rangefinder of sorts mounted on the front, and lastly - I needed more detail. Oh yah and also every photo I’ve ever seen doesn’t have leather catch bags under them. Need to be removed.
