Better sized prints, the piping was 12” when I measured compared to most photos. That allows me to 3d print in sections and marry up. Took a few tries but I should have it done tomorrow
Dad and I making keel blocks - can’t have just any wood, MUST be oak Heart of oak are our ships, heart of oak are our men! steadyyy boys steadyyyyyy
Wheel chocks. Two sizes for the hurricane and wildcat - and a spot to tie a rope. Going to try to drive myself insane tying thread 40 times
Took the ship off the stand to inspect something and realized one part snapped off that I only had one of. Sigh. Had to 3d design it and print it.
Decals suck. Hate them. Have to use the silhouette cameo three times to cut numbers on slide off decal paper because 7’s are really really finicky. anyways, hull number applied
Are you spotting the aircraft for launch, recovery, or transport? That makes a difference in how they are laid out on the flight deck - but I'm sure you knew that. If you have a look at some period photos, you'll find that the aircraft are almost always staged on the flight deck with 'like' aircraft grouped together. Fighters forward, bombers aft. Your mixture of having the Martlets on the port side, and Fulmars (?) on the Stbd side would be incorrect. The Fulmars would all be ranged aft, with the aircraft staggered but pointed fore/aft so that they don't have to turn into the wind, they just roll straight forwards. The Martlets (F4) would be forward of them.
