Iron on tshirt transfers for signal flags ensign and of course since I'm a chaplain, the church pennant!!! tried to figure a way to keep the line taught while the mod poge hardens, rigged up a bead and thread for the spot and some loose thread for the ensign. Hope it stays!
Here's my version - fully 3D printed...heading to the printer with it shortly. HMS Puncher - WW2 Escort Carrier 1/144 Scale RC Ship by Navyshooter - Thingiverse
hell yes it does! Have an eye for how high the pedestal is on the twin oerlikons - looks a bit high for the mechanized versions?
@NavyShooter , I was playing around with your stl files and I noticed that if one prints an extra copy of CVE_Hull_Pt_5_1-144.stl and adds it into the hull assembly, the over all length is very close to scale. There is some raised piping detail that'd need to be sanded off but, that'd be easy. A little bit of cutting and pasting would probably allow the flight deck to be expanded without much pain, too.
I've got the ship *mostly* printed now, and yes - I think you're correct. I've jumped back into the 3D files and it appears that the hull OAL is 93mm too short. There is an even easier fix than printing 2x Hull 5's - I'm stretching Hull Pt5 module by 93mm, and stretching the flight deck by 93mm.
OK. Unintended consequences...lengthening the flight deck by the required amount adjusts the position of the island by about 10 mm. Which makes the island support bars that are a part of Module 3 on the Stbd Side appear in the wrong spot. Easy fix - Module 3 gets lengthened by 10mm and module 4 gets shortened by 10mm. So, 3 modules to re-print.
Thanks! My print queue is fairly long now...and this puts another 3 days on! (basically 1 day per module.)
