Let's play the game called finish line snap-fuck. I was at the finish line, pushed my one piece superstructure against the wall and snapped the yardarm which is part of the whole thing. Yay. Welded two crown moulding metal staples together gorilla glued re rigged and it's as good as it can be given the circumstances. Dammit.
A solid solution, and good recovery! Question - Air Det - what was 'normal' for Puncher? I see you've got 8 Martlet and 9 Barracuda. NS
More sanding tonight - switched to 150 grit this time...then another layer of primer. Starting to look smooth!!!
Had to reprint the flight deck - I was having bed adhesion issues that resulted in the top surface looking terrible. Starting to get there...
I just uploaded my Barracuda modifications file to Thingiverse if anyone else wants some 1/144 Barracudas: WW2 Fairey Barracuda - Carrier Based Torpedo Bomber - 1/144 Scale by Navyshooter - Thingiverse My Mod takes the existing file form Thingiverse, adds some basic landing gear, then splits the wings off so they can be positioned 'folded'.
Puncher is out on Display (partly done) at the Halifax International Boat Show for anyone that wants to drop in to look at her!
I think my colours are off from yours, however, no-one has any colour photos of the actual Puncher to correct me with, so here we are. Now working on getting a new set of props/shafts ordered. The ones I ordered from the UK haven't shown up.
I used sovereign hobbies made from real wwii rn colour chips, so as close to real as possible. Sucks they don't ship to canad though.
