A little light decalling at noon and spraying the decals so they don’t keep (d@mn$hitf@wk!) smearing like the last 10 were.

the bane of my existence decals.

    What I’m happy about:
Side roundels tail flashes and designations layer down well enough.

    what I’m not happy about:
Overwing roundel inconsistencies and chipping. I’ll print on clear decal paper and reapply.

I tried the clear u-print roundels and the centre red was too dark as it showed the brown underneath too much. The blue was ok. So I stripped the roundels off all the aircraft and painted a grey spot on the wings for the red semi transparent to have a brighter base underneath. Tried on one, turned out nicer

Did a little work in the donald duck decal I'm putting on one of the planes. Not sure how it'll print to 1/4" but it's hard to draw like the nose art rather than what I know donald duck actually looked like - even at the time...but historical ship trumps historical cartoon.
