Anybody have a 1:6 scale-ish electric outboard laying around? I'm looking for one for a project I'm working on.

Nope. I'm designing an 18' plywood crabbing skiff that my stepson and I will build. I wanted to do a scale model first to see how it would handle. The OB would be for that.

Interesting. I highly recommend you check out the Tips from a Shipwright YouTube Channel. He has a complete skiff building series that is not only informative but entertaining. You might find it useful in your build.

I wonder if you would really need an outboard motor. Don't you think something like the Villain IV's driveline would produce about the same affect.

At least good enough for a proof of concept?
