How to print an entire ship

    Yup, there are different types of rubber, some flex more than others, and there is a limit to how much they flex/stretch before tearing, etc. But for most of the stuff we do/I've seen done for the hobby you just flex the mold around and the part comes out.

    My daughter saw the pics that @rcengr posted of his HMS Minion and insisted that she needs one.
    Here's a pic of the 3 parts of the hull from WOWs that we printed at 1/144th scale. The icky texture is due to is the low resolution of the mesh.

    Got it glued together. Next to the bow of the Tirpitz, it is tiny!
    We'll work on the superstructure parts and cut out the deck openings to prep for the drive line.

    We're waiting for some drive line parts to arrive from Vac-U-Boat.
    At Lowe's, we found a suitable testing basin.
    So far, the printed parts seems watertight.
