Ok the price sounds good. If there are turrets, I would like to know that as well. When would I need to place the order and how much would it cost for shipping to Wisconsin Rapids, WI 54494 How would the payment be taken care of? Thanks Kim
I e-mailed Ralph with all the questions so far unanswered and am awaiting a reply. Hopefully he will be able to get back to me later tonight or early in the am. J
Hey guys, sorry for the delay. Ralph is very busy with work right now and he figures it is easier for you all to e-mail him yourselves, cuts out the middleman. His account is active and his handle is Ralphster30. Ralph will be posting here soon as well so he can answer questions directly too. J
Thanks for acting as the middle man. I have contacted Ralph and will be getting one of the QE when it warms up for him. I am in now rush this is for my next boat. thanks again Kim
Ralph, I appologize for missing you this past week, just got busy and preoccupied here at home and kept missing my chance to go meet. I definately want the Indefatigable hull for a birthday gift for my son, Malcolm, and just have to meet you when we're both available so I can give you your money! If you can predict what day would be best for you this week, just let me know and I'll arrange to have the car so we can meet and I can pick up the hull. Thanks! Mack P.S.- If you have a hull ready for the Viribus Unitus I think I may want one of her too. I seem to be specializing in WW1 hulls as none of the newer (faster, better?) WW2 ships interest me much. The older ones just seem to have more character.
Kim, you are welcome. I forgot to mention that Ralph takes Paypal, it is the easiest method of payment. J
I got a Swampy KGV but I like Ralph's version much better. Paul is going to get me the VU so with that I am going to order the Missouri.
Good price for a Hull like that. I like that hull. Paul let me know when your ready. I want to contact Ralph also let him know I am interested in Missouri.
I got a pretty good force of RC ships and Tanks and my Submarine Fleet will go up to 3 Subs by Next year. I only have 1 RC plane and 1 RC helicopter. I don't have a "Battling Robot" .......yet.
I think that "yet" has already passed. As of May 30, last year, any ship built for Model Warship Combat officially counts as a robot, as described at the Maker Faire by numerous sources. Sure they're not land-based, but they're just as robotic as the land-based beasts
Maybe start a new topic to talk about a name change. I am still waiting to hear the price on a Tirpitz hull.....
Hi guys, some more info from Ralph. Again, sorry for the delay. Turpitz is $140, turrets are available, VU is $120 with the lip, $100 without, he has turrets that will work but are not specific to it. He does have a fibre glass deck for $25 and it fits well (see pic). He is sending me a list of all prices for his hulls. His turrets are $8 and are two wall thicknesses, 3 ply on the side. If someone wants customized turrets the price will vary accordingly. He has mostly main turrets and has them for all his hulls except VU and Strasbourg. He thinks KGV turrets would work on Stasbourg with slight modification. This is something to discuss with him. He is also labling all the pics he sent me and I will post them ASAP. Ralph has a South Dakota mold, but it needs to be repaired. It will take a couple of days to do so and is willing if there is a demand for it. As well, he has the USCGC Eastwind, a wind class icebreaker. It is from 1944 and is armed but small, 269 ft and 6500 tons. He forgot about it. He also said that if there is a class of ship that lots of people want (like the Graf Spee last year) he will do up a plug, mold and hulls. If someone wants to 'commission' him to make a mold he is willing to do that too, but you need to contact him directly. Here are a couple more pics that I know, IOWA class Battleship, Viribus Unitus and deck and these are 1/72 scale Civil War ships and monitors, the names to follow. J
More pics. First the Indefatigable, lipped... The Monitorin the middle, Merrimac in the back, and the civil war Tennessee in the front... a Japanese midget sub in 1/24 (plug)... the Simon Lake sub in 1/24 two views fore and aft... and 1/72 scale subs, the Surcouf for one. each has two sides and the optional deck structure... More to follow when I get them. J
