Bob, Ralph's QE mold is in Maryland. The weather here has been wet and rainy, which has slowed hull production at Ralph's place. He is looking for a pic of the Wind class.

Are the molds for the Yamato superstructure still around? I have one of Ralph's hull but without the super. It'd be nice to turn it into a complete set and build out sometime.

Were you able to get a picture and price for the Wind class hull?

Hmm, seems that BC no longer makes the Yamato superstructure.

An update from Ralph. He doesn't have a price on the Wind Class yet, the local supplier for Gelcoat has shut down and he hasn't been able to find a new one yet. That will also delay any further hull production until he can get some.

They don't?? Geez that's really bad. They used to make a great superstructure. That's not good. Speaking of that model from BC it's been a year since they been retooling it. What is going on there?

Does anyone have Ralph's contact information? I had a few questions regarding the layout of the Iowa's stern skegs/props.
    Thanks

I can post pics of the skegs from my camera tomorrow morning. I took quite a few to give you an idea how they are attached.

Curt, given that there are not one, but TWO Yamato-class battleships commencing at the Statesboro shipyards, I'm pretty confident that there will be Grey Wolf Squadron high-detail turrets for the Yamatos (main, 155mm, 127mm, and the triple 25mm enclosed mounts) albeit more than 6 months from now. Not sure if there's going to be a superstructure set. Have to talk to Brian.

Well, I'm starting on Musashi immediately after the Memorial Day battle (next weekend). We will see how things progress. The main weekend work will be the Yamato and Musashi hulls for the first few months. Weeknights will be turret plug-making time. After the turrets are done we'll see.
