Stumbled across these pics of the damage and subsequent emergency repairs to the IJN DD Harukaze (Kamikaze Class).
More pics... Harukaze also had her bow blown off when she struck a mine, Nov 16th, '42...one pic shows her minus the bow in a floating dry-dock. She finished the war with the emergency repairs shown. The others show the internal cable/rope control lay-out for the emergency repairs/rudders.
