Finished making the dual pump housing for the Mutt today..... Both pumps are on a autoswitch and one pump has a manual switch as well. One pump can be turned completely off/on with a switch. This enables me to change the battle units in just a few seconds.
I can run either pump without having to deal with two different mounts.
The Mutt has been put designed to have all her units already in place. She has both front turrets with sidemounts, four stern guns, and two bilge pumps. These units are already installed and working, all I need to do is turn off/on certain toggle switches and pin/unpin guns to change her battle configuration.
    She can run with:
Four sterns guns - 1 front sidemount - one bilge pump
    or
Four stern guns - two bilge pumps
    or
Three Stern guns - two front sidemounts - one bilge pump
    or
Two Stern guns - two front sidemounts - two bilge pumps

all with just a few seconds of time needed to change pins and switches.

Interesting, I would've thought it would be better to have the pumps in different parts of the hull (not that I know). You should post some video of it in action if you have time.

The impellers in this set up were made by Carl, and I can not use them in any pumps other than for my own use. But not to worry... Clark is making some impellers for them now on his 3D printer. As soon as he gets the impellers to me, I will make you one. Will you be at IRC NATS?

No chrysanthemum crest on the bow? I sense seppuku in your ship's future. :) :)

I guess some people really like their stern guns. Seriously though that is really nice work and I hope it performs well for you at Nats.

Haymaker and side mounts are superior in a large fleet battle but for a one on one against an opponent who turns better the stern guns will score many more points. Quad bow guns are much superior to either side mounts or quad stern guns when hunting convoy ships. It all depends on the battle situation.

I am using the LiFePo4 batteries now, and because of this, weight is a issue, I have to add weight to get my waterline and scale weight. So to make this easy, I added all the possible units the boat can have.
The Mutt is configured with 8 battle units, 6 offense(quad sterns, two bow sidemounts), and 2 defensive(two bilge pumps) units. Of course I am only allowed 6 units at a time, so depending on the situation I will change what is pinned or turned on/off. I have her built this way to make it very easy to change those configurations between battles with very little effort... The guns of course are pinned, but because they use kips, I have a toggle switch on each one. This way I can turn on/off any gun with a switch. The bilge pumps are both installed, they just need to be turned on or off by a switch in the boat... If running both pumps I have the 1st one on a auto switch, and the second one on a auto/manual switch.

At any time between battles (not sorties) I can switch to the following:

    1. Quad Sterns, One Bow side mount (can do left or right side), one pump (My Favorite)

    2. Quad Sterns, two pumps

    3. Three sterns, two side mounts, one pump

    4. Two sterns, two side mounts, two pumps

Or if feeling very cocky, I can use:
    5. Four sterns, two side mounts, no pump

Yea, I cant be lifting and carring that darn thing too much...

Cost me 70 bucks in materials...
The two wheels are lawnmower wheels, and I just drilled holes in a t-pipe fitting to attach them with 1/2" bolts.

Yeah I have to make a cart myself I can no longer lift and launch a 30+ lb boat after my back gave out last year. I was thinking about a cheapo $30 hand truck with solid tires (so it won't float) from harbor freight as the main frame for the cart.

It's fairly easy to build with PVC pipe.... the tires are solid lawnmower tires purchased at Home Depot..

I drilled extra holes in the pipe all around so water will drain out and it wont float.
