It's not much, but here are some top and side profiles with a few hull stations. http://wunderwaffe.narod.ru/Magazine/Midel/08/Pictures/page_01.htm
http://tsushima.su/RU/shipsru/shipsrussiaru/shipsrussiadredru/shipsrussiadredlinkorru/ I used the plans here for Empress Catherine to build mine. It was the second ship of the class, and was slightly longer. (No, I never did finish it).
This is pretty decent site for Russian ship plans in general. Although the site is pretty much dead now with a lot of broken links.... you can still retrieve a lot by using a web archive like Wayback Machine. I have plans but they are small.... 1:400 Too small to re-size in one step without lots of distortions. But if your interested I'd be willing to email them
If @glaizilla is interested, I can take those plans and create a high res tracing of those hull lines. I've done it a couple times now and the results are pretty good.
If he is I'd be happy to send them to you. Digitally cleaning, correcting and scaling plans is something I've always wanted to learn how to do... but have no idea where to begin. Most of my gigantic "Planthology" of Pre-Dreadnought plans are scans from Russian modelling mags or scans of original plans sourced from nearly every dark corner of the internet. I have plans for tons of interesting ships.... but few are good to go "as is".
I am very much interested in the plans. I am not very skilled at resizing and cleaning up the files. I would be willing to give it a go, or if Beaver wants to give it a go. I think it would be an interesting ship.
It would be awesome if posted a basic tutorial and gave recommendations for software to use. If just a couple people are doing "plan work" they might be overwhelmed. @glaizilla and @Beaver, if you guys will send me your email addresses I will forward you the plans I have
I did yesterday, but didn't find it. Looked again and did. Here's the link so you don't have to search as much. http://tsushima.su/uploads/photoarh.../linkor/imperatriza-ekaterina/draw/paluba.jpg
I've tried to use those plans, but Russian ships are weird. I have a set of Gangut plans that I may ATTEMPT to build, but I don't give it a high probability of success.
Careful on the Gangut, while the stern haymaker could be awesome the other three turrets have NO down angle. Actually built a one off plug and scrapped it when I could get no other guns to hit with 14+ inches.
If you want to build the Gangut class, it's hard to find better plans than those in Plany Modelarskie #63 (October Revolution). These plans contain 6 sheets (3 printed sheets, double sided, each roughly 33" x 25") in 1/200 that include hull lines and stations, rib patterns, with nice details. These paper plans are long out of print (circa 1974), but can still be found occasionally on ebay, where I managed to snag my copy a few years ago.
So I have actually had some success with downloading and adapting paper models. The Gangut I have is a paper model from Komuny Paryskiej. It is number 94. Anyway, I had to adapt the decks to account for the weird casemate deck. I'll probably post on here if/when I start building. As for belows and gun position, I realized long ago that I like building ships that I like (well duh!). What I mean is I have ships that I just like and I am not really concerned with battle performance since I never plan on going to nationals or anything. For example, I have a Dunkerque I am scratch building because I love that ship. Also a Takao. And a London. And a New Zealand (Indefatigable class BC). And I need professional help.
