Finished about 2/3's of the forward super the last 2 days. Just need to do the center armoured box that fits under the forward mast, the tripod forward mast, and the 2 stacks. Still have to decide how the deck is going to be attached.

Then just need to install the guns, and the CO2 plumming. Should be done in about another month or so.

Worked on the Iron Duke's super this weekend, the prior two weeks was spent getting the PE ready for the Bruhaha battle, so not much was done on the ID.
I need to give it a coating of the west resin, and then the super will be done, and ready to attach to the deck after its also coated. It has a pair of the Grey Wolf squadrun ID foam stacks to save weight.
You can also see a new 3.5 oz bottle that BC is selling with the new Aluminum valve, its 4 oz lighter than the old brass style. So I will save 1/2 a pound using 2 of them.
By next week I should be working on the CO2 system, and Solenoid wiring. It looks like she will be ready for the Hagerstown battle in May.

I think Rick has sold 4 of them so far, 3 in the MWC, and 1 to the treaty guys in the last 2 months. So you will see a few more of them this year or next.

Geez David I feel slow build compared to you. I know we each have our own budgets to build within, but still. Oh and I envy you for all the new toys you seem to try out each time you build a new one.

The ID is looking good so far.

I got a little more completed on her. Finished the super, weights less than 1.5 pounds.
First picture is a little blurry, sorry. Got her painted grey, just need to do the gun systems now.

Don is getting better, now he says his left knee hurts worse than the right, which is the one that got replaced. But he says he's going to wait till after Nats to get the left one done.
I helped Don with his super and deck panels yesterday at Rick's, and today I worked on my stern rotate turret. Got it working very nice. Just need to clean up the aluminum corners a bit, and put in the 2 rear servo mount bracket (2 4-40's with brass anchor) hardware, and then I will start on the forward rotate tomorrow.
The bottom of the servo is only 1 1/2 inches down from the bottom of the deck, so it does not interfere with the motors below it.

Wish I had planned my Konig a bit better. I had to scrap the stern rotates idea due to motoer shaft in the way. Tell Don we are all hopeing for the best for him.

    Clark

The gears and chain came from Servo city. They now have a gear with a spline attached for a Hitec, or Futaba servo, what you see on my Hitec retract servo in the picture. The other gear I cut the center out of it to attach to the bottom of the center of the barbette with 3 screws.

A 24 spline on the servo, 34 on the barbette, with a 180 deg Hitec retract servo, and chain. All from Servo city. It runs very smooth and quiet.

Well I'm putting everything I can think of into it, for a super clean build, and good running ship. Of course I also made the plug for it, but my heart is really not into it, its a Allied boat, and I like the Axis side better. The Axis just have more fun, LOL.

About the only thing I'm not happy about what I did during the construction so far, is the rudders should be a bit closer to the props, but its not bad as it is.

That's a great rotate system there. I like how it's setup. Very clean and simple.
