Bayern-class battleship, led by two Z-class destroyers that are dangerously close together. Based on the rendering style, it looks like an anime, although which particular one I'm not sure.

    Nice try!

That's from a cute li'l show called Youjo Senki. I highly recommend it.

Things go a little differently there...

Meanwhile, for this week's enjoyment, how about a real ship?

So, yeah, it's been a while. I came down with the covid over Christmas, and between that, and work, and the lengthy recovery process, I've been feeling less than enthusiastic about things. Feeling pretty good today, though, but maybe that's just relief from being done with the durn taxes. Huzzah. :p
Anyway, here's a lovely screenshot from a certain video game to whet your appetites. Yeah, it's not Wednesday, but I'm feeling like posting today, so here you go.

Also, somewhat in memory of our old pal Robert Rucker. Kinda miss the ol' coot. (sigh)

Glad to hear you're doing better, Chris. :)
    Covid sucks.

Continuing with the theme, I should probably remember that it's Wednesday.

Is it time to start working on my boat for this season yet???

And now for something I blatantly stole from another website the other night, but I think it looks cool, so there!
And yes, it's Thursday ... yeah. It's like that sometimes. And yeah, technically, it's not a wallpaper, but it sure is fascinating.

Giant electro-mechanical computer. It's not all that different looking than units I've seen on Belfast and Iowa (I'm sure less advanced, but still)

Yes, I find it fascinating, especially in light of certain incidents at Samar, for example.
Meanwhile, here's a more proper boat picture (again, cribbed from a certain other site that has lots of nifty stuff)
Sadly, the resolution's not the best, but that Irootoku guy sure does a nice job with the color.
I really should send this pic to Ty, I'm sure he would appreciate it.

Someone posted this on another website, and it was just too good. I can't even bring myself to crop it ... yet. The version they uploaded was a bit on the small side, so I tried to find the largest/clearest I could - if anyone has a better one, feel free to post!

Ooh, found another spiffy pic on that certain website. I cropped it to size, because it was immense, so here ya go. And no, I'm not taking it to Nats.

That's impressive! Are those steel rods going through the holes in the forward section?
