I got the subdeck tacked glued into the hull today. Sanded the forward subdeck down to get it to fit tighter at the bow. The deck fits nice and tight on top of the subdeck and flush with the gunwales.

Happy to report that work has resumed on the Konig by Tom Cromwell. He has the main deck hatch cut out and the o1 level set up for installation to the main deck . Pins were inserted on the foward end of the o1 level to insert into the bulkhead of the step down to secure the main hatch level fowrard. Barbette locations and superstructure layout was made. Tom is going to build this ship with the intention of possibly purchasing it and arming it for a IRWCCC Nats maybe in 2013. He also has my VDT started up again.
Once that is built I plan on selling the VDT, the KGV hull, mains and secondaries and plans , Dunkerque with Mains, secondaries and plans. I need to make room for Tirpitz, and 2 Vu's and the Rodney.

Konig has progressed well in a short time. The superstructure is built and attached with some extra levels that did not come with the kit. Masts are in place. Cannon placement has begun with Turrets fitting nicely. The deck inserts for the main hatch works well. The forcastle has been reresin to fill in the gaps in that area. Prop is temporialy attached. Layout so far is similiar to the schematic that comes with the Bismarck kit with a 7oz on the stbd side and 2 6v SLA's on the right. The model will be adjusted for ballast. I know in my Bismarck I moved one of the batteries towards the center and it ballasted it out nicely. This is just preliminary of course with Konig. As more equipment is installed no doubt there will be changes but it's a good start. Were putting in extra effort to get Konig and VDT built along with the 2 Vu's so that we can have at least small ship battling.

Konig's deck and superstructure is proceeding along nicely. The casemates were cut out this evening and the 01 level has been sealed to the deck hatch . Deck underside bracing has been waterproofed and sealed.

The O1 level dried to the deck hatch however there was slight warping of the deck. Mods were made to the deck to correct the slight misalignment. Casemates are installed of the o1 bridge level. The bow section forcastle deck is filled in with a sheet of styrene covering it. The bridge section has had more work done and is looking good. Tom is making good progress on this.

The o1 level has been cleaned up and attached. THe bow section looks like it's done. The superstructure looks nearly complete. Won't be too long before the internals will begin .
