Finally had time to really get into the workings. Hope to be a quick refit. Started with reworking a 550 mount to house a 775 and added a hobbywing 880 esc. Looked good on the pond, to bad I didn't get any video 1622566155941408691500683862273.jpg

To repair the many drag prop holes i used a mix of fine sawdust and titebond III 16225667354581068762772656805652.jpg
Nothing fancy wasnt 100% on drag prop rules so I kept them equal to the prop size at 1 1/4 inch. @Panzer suggested the shower pan liner for internal armor. Damage control is covered buy a B.C. large pump housing a stinger 550. Maybe in the future I will switch to brushless. Meh who knows. Used the deck as my mount for it 16225672687341043561376400518600.jpg the black lines are my thinking for the stern mounts also recommend by panzer. Eventually I'll have my print master 3D up some mounts

16229137536162127042077599718036.jpg still not 100% on gun mounts, need some time to feel them out before permanently mounting. Plus seems I lost a turret cover‍♂️. Meh problem for another day. 1622913907165178019891589787829.jpg and one more of the aft setup 16229140076863552902798180663475.jpg c turret looks good gotta figure out how I will mount up D maybe a small block to mount the barrels to. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated

Which direction does your ship naturally turn when you back up? You probably want your bow sidemount on that side, so when you step on the brakes your sidemount closes the range. It's easy to sail straight forward because your propwash goes straight over the rudder, but backing up is a whole different story. Once I swapped my sidemount to the other side I started having much more success with my little predread, precisely because a touch of astern throttle would swing the sidemount closer.
If you know somebody with a 3d printer, you could ask for a 3d-printed Kort prop. We've been using them for years down in Georgia with very few issues. Also handy for replacing lost turret covers ;) Overall though I think your biggest improvement would be swapping to East Asia Squadron colors. White and Buff looks much nicer than Battleship Gray when you're kicking butt on the pond, and its easier to find all the holes you need to patch afterwards.

A 1.25” prop is much too small. You should have at least 1.75” or 2”.

Thanks for the input!!! Hopefully I will some time next week to poke my 3D guy with a stick and throw a roll of filament at him. I am currently toying with duel sterns and dropping the port but I am the most indecisive . Thanks again for the recommendations. Also not sure on the color scheme thats just how she came into my possession

Finally getting back to it, made a few decisions on things but man its not like changing parts on a vehicle in anyway. 20210817_162621.jpg here is the 90% decided final layout!!!! Minus the rats nest of wiring. Needs some fine tuning but any progress is good

The bow sidemount I would move to the forward most turret so you expose as little hull to get it on target as possible. Not sure on the rule set you are using but those sidmeounts look like they have too much down angle (20 degress if I remember correctly) plus you don't want them too steep on the 'sweet spot' of hitting is very narrow. Other than that should be fine.

So after divination with the oujia board, trying to figure out how to fit guns around the 775. My only solution seems to be soldering the canons rather than using the compression fitting. Anybody have a German turret cover floating around? It may be some time yet before I get the pieces from b.c. on the plus side I did atleast bring my bad headway cell back to life, The charge on nimh did the trick. And thanks to @SnipeHunter for the firing boards I can get started on the kongo. Picture to come later. Thanks for everyone's input and suggestions to this point I appreciate it

I edited my post after I saw you had said you didnt have a printer yourself.

My printer is occupied for the next 2 days so itll be a bit before I can print them.
Can you send me the dimensions of the barbettes (OD and ID) and some clearance info for the guns? I cannot 100% guarantee they will fit, but I will give it a good shot. I’m not one to charge for stuff. It is hard enough to source parts in this hobby.

So not looking for fancy so much as effective. I have 2 inch pvc barrette. The covers I have are actually smaller than that currently, was also half the reason I ordered the deck kit from b.c. in hopes there kit had bigger. Any who my current turrets measure out 2 1/16 wide ( 2 inch pvc is 2 3/8") by 2 3/4" long. Just what it came with. No rush wont need it till Hagerstown ‍♂️. Need to get to work on the kongo compliments of @Nomercy. Thanks again 20210819_185252.jpg
