Here are my options: Simple LED harness that I can just plug into the ship on a spare firing circuit and my backup of tiny glowsticks (Walmart in the fishing section). The LEDs are simple white LEDs (

for example) That I sleeved in a bit of brass tube to help keep the light going one direction. There's a bit of liquid electrical tape on the back as well to both coat the back of the LED and hold the tube in place. I made them up for the 2010 Nats and they've served me well. I did swap the connector this year and add a little more cable length. Generally just zip tie or tape them to a bit of super structure and then snake the cable down through a barbette to the electronics.

edit: no idea why there's such a big block of white space in the text *shrug*

Main purpose is to not lose track of your ship in the dark not to illuminate the shoreline. You don't want anything too bright as it will mess with your night vision and cause a 'bit of discord' lakeside.

@Kevin P. gave me two of these last year. I wired them in series because my boat is 24v but all you need is a spare gun board and a 12v connection.

edit: forgot to mention they have the resistor already wired in which makes them super easy to use.

I know I havent battled yet.. but a night game gave me a fun little “why not” idea.
    Search lights with 3mm LEDs.
Simple circuit that runs off my 6v RX battery pack.
I made wire passages in the superstructure for them and also hollowed out the admirals bridge, printed an insert in clear, and will use red LEDs in there. Also did the red and green nav lights.
    just for fun.
