Make sure that you have a resin that won't eat your ship's frame.

I will have to have a test trial then. Mix up a batch and put it on a piece of scrap plastic. There are ways around it, thank you for the thought it would not have crossed my mind.

I was planning on buying a BB gun to test with but haven't got one yet, real life stuff, roommate ran out on us and disappeared with our deposit 750.00 worth and hadent been paying his house payment for the last four months. So wife and I had to move back to her mother's house... So we are a bit in the hole at the moment. When I start to fire test I will record it and post up.

The funnel is 60-w paper with clear tape wrapped around the outside, I put it there temporarily. I have a wolf brand tin can here in front of me I am going to make the funnel and the rudder out of.

I finished cutting out the frame pices and got it glued together, I the cut out template for the deck, next buy the material for that part, and buy foam to make the bottom of the ship.

Thank you Julian B. For the encouragement. :)
When I go to fiberglass the bottom of the ship I am planning on Elmer's glueing on the pink foam so it can easily be removed. Sand to shape fill in the cracks and pits with some plaster, cover with some aluminum foil then fiberglass, remove everything then drop in the bath tub to remove everything that is supposed to come off, then glue on the skin of the bottom of the ship. Well that's the plan let me know if anyone has any ideas for improvement.

I had finished the cargo openings and the mast housings. I took the deck template and cut it out in metal flashing, I had to cut it in half becous it had a really bad bulge in the middle to fix the issue.

By the rules, I don't think so. From what I remember reading really only warships do get pumps.

I posted a answer earlier, but... There wear commerce rading liberty ships. That looked like helpless liberty ships but when a axis ship pulled up next to them to raid for supplies, pop out came the Xtra men with guns and went to man the fore and aft 3/6 inch deck guns, So in that case possibly yes. But they wear 10 knots fast like the standard ships so would it really be a good idea? I really can't say. But if you go by the rules the weapons are there so it is possible I guess.

Some pices are still falling off so I had just reglued them back on, so I stopped to let the glue dry.
