Thank you. I’m trying my best to get it out on the water. What I have been going for is a model-esk battle warship. You are absolutely right, “life gets tough and money gets tight.”

    why ridiculously beautiful?!

    I ordered from Will again:
    2 firing boards
    5oz tank

    second big order:
    Pump motor
    Reel for bobber system
    Batteries

Hey so I got my orders from Will and then Amazon.

    I now have new questions

1 I need solenoids to be exact 4. Where and what kind to be exact for my ship?
2 I have a 5oz tank and regulator but no piece that connects the two.
3i have most the things to complete it now but I’m still needing help with step by step. Not 3/4 finishes here and there.

I have a co2 tank but I can’t fill it with co2 because I don’t have a part that connects the tank to the regulator. I have a tank and regulator but nothing that connects the two.

The solenoid you shared will not work. Best wait till SJS has them in stock again.
Your regulator and bottle should have the same thread and screw into each other. What regulator do you have?

Ah. You're missing the valve on the bottle. I will reach out to Will and see if he has a recommended valve. You can find them pretty easy on the Chinese sites so if Will doesn't have anything I'll post some links.

    All Areas

    Update

    Electronics
All electronics are completed. I did a bench test and everything works!!! I still need Solenoids. After that I have everything for electronics.
My Brother and I 3d printed out of PETG clear. We made a bus bar and Power box with led rocker switch. Both are fully waterproof.
I epoxied my ESCs. Again, 3d printed some planter boxes for each one.
    The receiver, I e6000ed it.
    ALL Screws are brass.
The plugs I used are as follows:
    - XT90S (anti Spark), XT90 Flush Mount, XT60W (Waterproof), XT60 Flush Mount, XT30B (Black out), MT60 3 Bullet Connectors

    CO2 Cannons

I almost have everything for the cannons. I ordered the valve. It is coming from china. I still need solenoids. This portion isn’t going to be fully complete for a little while.

I used: ¼ Braided Air hose, 1/8 air hose, 1/16 air hose, and ¼ brass quick release air hose connections.

    NOT Fully assembled.

    Hull

I have everything needed to complete the hull. Balsa, tea bags, and model dope. I’m waiting for the CO2 side of the build process to be near complete before I completely balsa over the hull.

Still taped up for final paint scheme.

    Super Structure

    Completely done!!!

I used a flyfishing reel to be my bobber retriever. The reel has 30feet of recovery line. Made the handle removable for battles and sorties.

No more plans. I get to the boat when the money is available.

    Questions:

    1) How many tea bag layers can I put on before it becomes a problem?

    2) Will, do you have any solenoids available?

    3) Can someone please help me with the remote conversion?

    Looks GREAT

No update on solenoids other than there has been interest in a solenoid buy, and I may open the store system up for a pre-order. I hate the concept of pre-sale items because I hate the idea of holding people's money for a product that I don't have to ship them. If that's the way that the consensus of hobby members wants me to go, I will open up that possibility. Otherwise we just have to sit tight until SJS has the capital to make the solenoid purchase, which is regularly the largest single outlay of cash the store makes (even including buying whole 3d printers.)

    New update.
CO2 So my local paintball club that is near me is the only place that does anything remotely close to what we do with our boats. My guy said CO2 is a thing of the past and compressed air is the exact same if not better than CO2. Cheaper and more reliable than CO2. He also said if we truly run our boats at 150psi, it doesn’t matter if it’s CO2 or Compressed Air. The pneumatics of it are going to be the same. It will be easier to build and lighter than brass parts for gases. The tank Will gave me is a Compressed Air tank not CO2. So my paintball guy helped me set up my tank and got me straightened out with air and how to run my system. He said that it will look great, be light weight, and will run reliably. He’s going to help me get the tank valve dialed back to 150 psi before the on/off paintball switch. I will get pictures of it when we are done with the air side of things.

I need help with converting my remote to buttons and having reverse.

I need a refill tank so I can use that to refill my boat at the water side. Then take that bottle to get it refilled not my small boat tank.

I recently started experimenting with high pressure air (HPA) tanks instead of using CO2 bottles. In general HPA is better than CO2. There is one potentially important exception: capacity. I get a TON more shots out of a 20 ounce CO2 bottle than I can out of a 48 cubic inch HPA tank at 3000 psi. It isn't even close. For fast guns it might not matter but big guns cannons use a lot of gas...

That all being said I can refill HPA at home and probably from my car (I haven't tried that yet), HPA doesn't have the freezing problems that CO2 can, the tanks are more commonly available nowadays, etc., etc. I am really hoping to keep using HPA but I am worried about the capacity.
