Yo, i'm looking for a fast gun IJN cruiser preferably unfinished, preferably wood-hulled, ('cuz wooden ships are beautiful!), and preferably with hull completed/mostly completed, but i'll consider a ready-to-go one if it's at a good price. I'd rather learn by building stuff myself but I don't own any shop tools to make a wood hull (and i don't like fiberglass as much), so I want to be able to build the internals myself. Also, bonus points if you are in the socal area so it's easier to transport! Edit: specificity
I believe Strike Models sells RCENGR's 1/144 Takao-class laser-cut hull kit. You don't need special tools to assemble it, and you can waterproof it using spar varnish if you don't want to coat it with fiberglass resin or epoxy.
